What is TransferGo?

TransferGo is a fast-growing fintech startup, offering online money transfers to over 60 countries across the world with high speeds, low fees and no hassle. We’re a diverse and multilingual bunch of people, working from offices in London, Vilnius, Kaunas, Berlin, Istanbul and Warsaw – and we’re still growing!

At TransferGo, we’re on a mission to make moving money globally as quickly and easily as sending a text. Our Growth team plays a critical role in shaping the way we serve our customers. To make sure we’re doing that in the best way possible, we’re looking for a talented Community Manager to work with our Growth team and provide valuable insights on the Romanian market.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

As a Community Manager, you will be responsible for building trust and awareness of our brand for Romanian immigrant communities throughout Europe. This role requires a hands-on approach when dealing with Romanian immigrant communities, working with social media, forums, local PR, content building, events and other offline activities. You’ll work closely with our Growth Manager for Romania and have full access and help from our core marketing team. You’ll also benefit from the help and experience of other managers within our Growth Team.

In addition, you’ll be:

  • Promoting our Invite-a-Friend programme on social media and other relevant community circles
  • Researching micro-influencers we could work with – then negotiate with and brief
  • Providing feedback on copy and design
  • Suggesting/writing relevant content aimed at Romanian immigrants for our blog
  • Managing our Romanian Facebook page content (about 3 posts per week)
  • Participating in meetings with agencies and media buying negotiations, and providing feedback
  • Participating in some key marketing meetings – connecting with the team, providing feedback and sharing knowledge
  • Helping with translations from English to Romanian

Requirements

Here’s what we’d love from you:

  • A native level of Romanian and an excellent command of English. If you know other languages too, even better!
  • 3+ years’ experience working as a community manager or a similar digital role
  • Good knowledge of social media and other on-line marketing channels
  • Insightful knowledge on Romanian communities abroad
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong skills in negotiating with several different parties
  • Insightful knowledge of Romanian consumers and their habits, and strong networking skills
